Ecological approaches to lifespan development suggest that a good fit between the structure of the environment and an individual’s physical, cognitive, or social capital can lead to superior performance, even at older ages. We are currently investigating the occupational niches best suited to older adults' strengths and motivations with the goal of identifying the right ecologies for aging workers.
